Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, is a vibrant city known for its stunning beaches, iconic landmarks, and lively culture. Nestled between lush mountains and the Atlantic Ocean, it boasts famous sights like Christ the Redeemer, Sugarloaf Mountain, and Copacabana Beach.

We often saw Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf Mountain while traveling around the city. Although we never reached the top, we discovered a replica of the statue that didn’t require a cable car ride. I thought it best to note that trees do not surround the actual Christ the Redeemer as my picture may imply.

Rio's metropolitan area is projected to reach 13.1 million by 2025. It's a large city, and I'm not a big city person, but they manage it much better than I do.
