Hawaiian Folkloric

Royal Caribbean periodically invites local performers aboard to share their heritage through song, dance, and traditional attire. The Hawaiian “Folkloric” show held in Serenade’s Royal Theater reveals how deeply Polynesian culture values movement as a form of memory. Onshore, we visited the Polynesian Cultural Center, where similar performances carried the same spirit. Whether on stage or beneath the trees, the message was consistent: dance and music are not simply for entertainment. They are how stories are told, how values are taught, and how traditions endure.
